Greek salad

Greek salad (or horiatiki) is a common component of a traditional Greek meal being, at the same time, one of the most popular salads (especially during the summer months) in Greece and Cyprus. It is light, refreshing, and easy to make.

The Greek salad is essentially a tomato salad made of sliced or chopped tomatoes with a few slices of cucumber, red onion, feta cheese, and kalamata olives, seasoned with salt, black pepper, oregano, basil and dressed with olive oil.
